Re: Skip Bin Ordered @ Tullamarine
Will be interesting to see who else goes ,
McKernan will be promoted to senior list ,they will also promote Draper maybe McNeice and possibly Mynott,
you would think they would you'se their picks 8,31 and 62 so at least three more to delist. If you sign a free agent will be four.
uncontracted
Long
Brown
Bags
Hartley
Dea
Leuy
So my guess is , Long, Dea, Leuy will go , keep Hartley and Brown as backup key position players, think Bags is right on the edge.

Why is Bags on the edge?
He reinvented himself as a defensive forward this year and, IMO, did well and should only be better next year.
Unless he has an offer he’s not happy with???

I am really wondering how we are in the mix for players like Parker and Shiel while only off loading (at this point in time) one player on a sizable packet - ie Goddard. Surely the salary cap must be pretty tight with guys like Heppell, Daniher, Hurley and Hooker all on $700K plus. (Correct me if I am wrong)
Re: Skip Bin Ordered @ Tullamarine
His performance this year put a bullet in Green’s career. Baggers is good value.

Hasn't Bartel morphed into a horrid little man.
Re: Skip Bin Ordered @ Tullamarine
Great player.
Not that sold on his personal outpourings.
Then yesterday’s offering.

Doesn’t go well with Munchie Lasagne.
Re: Skip Bin Ordered @ Tullamarine
Fair point Windy!! It would be interesting to know how much cap room we have as we’ve spent a bit signing up players over the last two years... my hope was always that we had a “agreement” with the suspended players that we gave them a bit more for the “compensation” and a little less in the salary deals... not that we’ll ever knowWindy_Hill wrote: ↑Fri Sep 14, 2018 7:43 pm I am really wondering how we are in the mix for players like Parker and Shiel while only off loading (at this point in time) one player on a sizable packet - ie Goddard. Re: Skip Bin Ordered @ Tullamarine
Actually you raise a very interesting point Patoman. Did the club top up on the compensation payouts which have no bearing on the salary cap in order to create space for future trades. In other words and for example, did Hooker and Hurley take $100K less on their contract renewals as it had already been “included” in their compensation packages?patoman wrote: ↑Sun Sep 16, 2018 3:27 pmFair point Windy!! Re: Skip Bin Ordered @ Tullamarine
Wasn't there a story that us an Port Adelaide were the only clubs to have have automatic pay rises written into player's contract when the CBA was completed and the Salary Cap was increased thus creating a fairly decent war chest for us.
