Have been told Zac Clarke is a done deal if the AFL approves us picking him up as a Category A Rookie.

A good reliable back-up for TB and who knows, he might even be able to play in the same team against certain opposition?.

Anyway welcome to the Bombers Clarkey.

And Grassy will be very happy I believe.

Yep Absolutely.

Nice to have him on your side, when it was getting depressing watching him Kill Perth every time he played us.

Welcome to Essendon Big Fella!Something to yarn about with Subi Volunteer Dave next season.. :D

Yeah, won't be unhappy if he's signed on.
But FMD I wish the AFL would leave the rules alone, especially all this crap about adjusting the rules on a case by case basis every time. Sheesh.

Very happy and when Leuny suddenly signed off, I had faith that we must have had a (ruck replacement) plan up our sleeves and was expecting a surprise any day. Well welcome Clarkey. I believe your timing was great. May this be a new lease of life for you and a blistering season for the Bombers.

Glad you were confident Bonce.I was worried sick West Coast might have picked him up and plonked him in their Ressies for the entirety of 2019. :-&

He may as well of stayed at Subi,if that horrid possibility arose. :-&

We were checking him before Leuy retired. There was belief Luey wouldn't take the one year deal.

As soon as Luey retired we locked him in.

Help me out with this one please....is this purely an insurance strategy or can Zac genuinely challenge TBC for the first ruck?

Can’t speak for the Club, but yes he can challenge Tommy for the Number 1 Ruck Position.

But having 2 Good Ruckmen available each week, should be much more important to the Essendon cause in 2019.

Never mind what happened at Fremantle. That’s the Lyon factor.Bloody fool! You plod Ali g with Sandi, you dope!

Can you get him up for more than half a dozen games,Ross?

Very excited about this prospect. Been a worry for so long and if we genuinely have the luxury of two quality rucks, instead of pulling someone from another position, (or praying that our backup is fit this week), it'll be a huge weight off Woosha's mind. Also, the luxury of resting, or partially resting TBell before a really important game if needs be, and not risking him too long against shite, will be a fantastic boone too - But still have to see the goods. Clarke could put that finishing touch to our premiership dream.

Or,heaven forbid in this day and age,you could have 1 Man Rucking and the other in the forward line, creating 1 big headache for the opposition.

Even leave him there,......with a Crumber. That would a sight for sore eyes, instead of having Every player on the field in one half of it,most of the game.

A good reason West Coast Won the Flag? They had a Potent forward Line to kick to.Wow,there’s a concept that came back from the past.

Who needs rule changes from such potency?

That’s the trick. That’s one problem everyone, let alone Clarke had at Fremantle.

Lyon

Typical bloody WA Media are starting to talk Freo up again. It should be the nag they’re talking about, because the Dockers will get NOWHERE if Lyon won’t change his ways.

But we don’t need him in the forward line... we have Joe tippa raz Stewart/brown then any mix of Langford laverde bags zaha Stringer or even shiel... not to mention the young guys like begs ect.... Clarke is purely back up to tbc... hopefully even challenges him for the role... is he up to it grassy??
