Re: R15 Essendon v GWS
Redman and TBell will get fines at best (both insufficient force and TBell didn't injure player and hard to show intent)
Omit:
McKernan (tonight 9 touches, 1 mark, 5 FA, 6 clangers) with 1 goal in 4 games is a pretty shit return for a forward,
Guelfi (who will probably get a couple of weeks of home cooking)
Tippa of Fantasia - both were totally out of sorts tonight
Would only Drop Brown (16 touches, 7 marks, 1 goal, 1 clanger) if ZerkT comes in
In: Stringer, Ridley, Moizzie

A performance like that deserves the biggest of axes
I don’t care who goes out but Mynott, Ridley, Gleeson, Francis, Zerk T and Mozzie should all come in.
With Woosha at the Wheel
Out - D Clarke
In - D Myers

Bellchambers, Redman and Clarke (?) all got fines and are free to be selected (Benny wouldn't have one of these playing).

Re: R15 Essendon v GWS
We have too many damn good defenders. Both Francis and Zerk-Thatcher can’t get a crack simply because there’s no room for them. Meanwhile, we’re screaming for forwards...
Re: R15 Essendon v GWS
This game has a capability to completely break our spirits for the rest of the season. The players have to forget that first encounter and need to adapt our game plan to be competitive.
If we are not switched on or have wayward kicking, we will not recover from this percentage draining match even if we were to win every game onwards. It's a tough run to the finals if we lose to be 6-8, it's near impossible if we go down by 80+ points again.
I'm really excited about this match, and I just hope the effort is there and we play smart football. Go Bombres!

Is it time to move #26 forward to utilise our up and coming backmen with Joe, Stringer out and Fantasia not right? Or is Hooker too valuable down back?Windy Hille wrote: ↑Fri Jun 21, 2019 8:29 pmWe have too many damn good defenders. Apparently pushed an Eagle player into an umpire....or something like that. I'm trying to erase all memory of that game

Re: R15 Essendon v GWS
Gleeson taken off at half time in the VFL to "freshen up for Thursday nights game" just in case.

Walla is like a game of Roulette
You get lucky in the first few spins of the wheel. But then your luck turns but you cant walk away from the table. You keep thinking your luck is going to turn and before you know it you're down to your last few dollars.
Time to drop Walla for a couple of weeks

I think that's a good idea. He can do a good job up forward. I'd swing him up there and put Francis down back (he's more comfortable in defence).bpdons wrote: ↑Fri Jun 21, 2019 9:26 pmIs it time to move #26 forward to utilise our up and coming backmen with Joe, Stringer out and Fantasia not right? I hear Zerky has coped an injury in the VFL...
Re: R15 Essendon v GWS
Putting Hooker forward is the most practical option......my fear is we will just be sacrificing him to the injury gods.
My material isn't very good..Oh...and then there's the bladder problem.
Re: R15 Essendon v GWS
Off topic, but related.
Which idiot scheduled last week's VFL match for Sunday so the majority of eligible players only have a 4 day turnaround if selected
BTW - Baguley, Myers and Gleeson were the only ones who played "limited time" for a potential seniors recall.
Given the continuing injury to Stringer, the injury question marks over Guelfi and Fanta, and the form question marks over Tippa and McKernan (among others)
Why on earth weren't Ridley, Mozzie, Zerk-T (yeah I know he got injured, but if he only played a half...), Ham, Francis and even Snelling only given a half?
I am resigned to us losing a couple of very bright young talents this year while we keep on with the list cloggers...

As for "limited time" I get your point, although it's just as fair to say they can't give half the team only half a game.
I'm thinking that in reality, none of Ridley, Mozzie, BZT, Ham or Francis are actually ready for a recall to AFL, and one half of a game on Sunday wouldn't change that. Snelling I'm more inclined to think was doing enough already.
Just basing this on the commentary from the Club each week about the VFL performances. (for what that's worth)

Junkyard Johnny can be brutal when he wields the axe! What a knob. Bless him and his Cuddle Brand of Footy
After that performance against West Coast he has simply replaced an injured player. Not a single omission for that spineless effort. The man is utterly delusional

They had better win John, or you can piss off. You selected the team, you wear the resultWindy_Hill wrote: ↑Wed Jun 26, 2019 6:26 pmJunkyard Johnny can be brutal when he wields the axe! What a knob. Bless him and his Cuddle Brand of Footy

A courageous loss isn't good enough. Trotting out "he was playing injured" afterwards isnt good enough. No plan B isn't good enough.
The blueprint for crushing the Essendon gameplan was finalised last week. Lets see if you have had any "learnings"
