2018 was their first season.

They finished stone motherless last with only one win for the season - against Richmond with Monique DeMatteo the match winner

As big a club as we are, we certainly look bloody amateurish at times. Look at other clubs websites and how they promote their women's team compared to ours. Bloody pathetic.

I know a lot of you don’t like the fact that I have Woosha in my sights. But in all honesty, there are probably bigger fish to fry. Namely the higher echelon management and administration. The membership management, staffing decisions, commercial deals that fly in the face of public opinion, corny event style promotions at home games, infatuation with past glories without addressing 15 years of sub par performance, recruiting questions and list management.

So on most of the above we score a big fat F. So it doesn’t come as any surprise that the culture of narcissism that surrounds our once great club flows into a delusional coaching department and an entitled and equally unaware playing list.

Essendon people felt rightly offended when the AFL rejected our bid for a license to compete in the AFLW. So what do we do to show our unwavering support of the women’s team, support that will surely assist us in the next round of club intakes, we don’t even offer a passing mention of their performance over the weekend on the club website. Like everything about this club at the moment, abject mediocrity.

With out or without the EFC's acknowledgement, they will soldier on. Don't worry about these girls they'll do it their way.

I think the EFC spat the dummy because of the AFL's rejection of them yet again by taking it all very personally. Wake up EFC the AFL are arseholes to lots of people and are renown for their bad behaviour on many levels its not just about the EFC. However there was no need to take it out on the team by ignoring them which is exactly what the powers that be in the EFC, did. Grow up EFC and I hate to say it, "move on, we are now in a new era, those who can't get with it, piss off."

Yeah, yeah, yeah grassy1, they began with bugger all resources. They are on the up and up and are improving with every game. Give them a couple more years and they may be knocking on the door if we can keep our players and recruit better.

It is to the club's betterment to have three teams on the park all doing well. Our VFL men's team are on the top of the ladder, Seniors in the 8,
and I have every confidence in the girls, they aspire to do well and eventually they will.

And for them to be an inspiration for Women and girls who barrack and/or support Essendon.

If we don’t support them properly,we could lose them to The World Game.Or Worse, another Club!
