Re: R17 Essendon v North Melbourne
Dylan Clarke is already good and will be a very good player for us. For a new kid on the block, who has played a handful of games he is making a name for himself as a tagger. He already has a few scalps on his belt. LEAVE HIM IN and allow him to annoy the crap out of one of the blue and white boys who need tagging. Bring in Snell. Fast, zippy, in the midfield and as a target up fwd.
We need to come to play from the very first bounce. If we can't match them, then make them earn it and stop their flow. Otherwise, North will get a sniff and that might be the end of us.

He already knows how to get a hard ball. Following the games elite will only make him better.mdso wrote: ↑Wed Jul 10, 2019 2:53 pm Dylan Clarke s already and will be a very good player. Apparently it's the genetic problem that put a knock on his recruitment prospects ... thank heavens we managed to squeeze 165 games out of him.Windy_Hill wrote: ↑Wed Jul 10, 2019 7:48 pm
Ouch...that cannot be good

From the AFL Website
And from the Essendon WebsiteESSENDON coach John Worsfold says David Myers is again available for senior selection, having omitted himself earlier in the season.
Looks like Zac is sticking around.Zac Clarke's form
"It wasn’t surprising that his best quarter was his last quarter (last week). He started to get in the groove of the game. It was a great hitout for him. He hasn’t played a lot of footy over the last six weeks and is coming off a year where he didn’t play any AFL, so I’m confident he’ll improve with more game time and give us a good contest."

Yes he is sticking around and according to Woosha in the Australian this morning he had an excellent game last weekend and in a few more games should be able to learn to tap to the team he's playing for

Heppell might need surgery on this. Put him in and have it done. Don't risk playing him and making a bad situation worse.

Re: R17 Essendon v North Melbourne
Surely Snelling in...why did we bother recruiting him in a mid season draft intended to give sides depth to cover long term injuries. Snelling is the obvious replacement for Smith and now with Heppell out, we lack mid field options.
Clarke in ruck, Heppell out, Ambrose put, Hurley and Fantasia carrying injuries, no Smith, no Daniher....North by how far?

Yep, I don’t get it. He’s demanding selection, and they keep ignoring him.Windy_Hill wrote: ↑Thu Jul 11, 2019 8:58 pmSurely Snelling in...why did we bother recruiting him in a mid season draft intended to give sides depth to cover long term injuries. Snelling to gather another 30+ touches and 15+ tackles in the VFL.
Re: R17 Essendon v North Melbourne
Are we trying to qualify him for Ressies Finals instead?l
As much as we love what the Ressies are doing, what’s the actual priority of The Club here?Stack the Ressies for their Finals?Mmmmmmmmmm!

Re: R17 Essendon v North Melbourne
Its what we do isn't it Ben? Make them earn it make them wait and finally give them a feed when they are starving.
No changes this week. If anything I would have dropped Laverde and given Snell a run. What else does this kid have to do to get a game???
If Heppell has to have surgery LTI please, please, please Woosha bring in Snell.
Whack the kid in the midfield and he can also play half fwd.
I'll tell you North are doing we are not. The players are taking risks and its paying off for them and they are getting stronger and stronger in their belief. They have much more flair and its working for them. We'll see how we match them.

Re: R17 Essendon v North Melbourne
Surely the club didn’t go to the mid season draft just to boost the VFL side? They obviously liked what they saw in Snelling to add value to the senior list. He has since strung together an impressive vein of form. There are vacancies in our senior team that he could fulfil. Simply no squinch in place!
Re: R17 Essendon v North Melbourne
You’d hope not Windy.
Re: R17 Essendon v North Melbourne
Good luck to the boys against North and all our teams for the Weekend.
Can’t watch the League game,as I won’t have access to Fox Footy today and I have my own Match Day commitments, even with the League Game at 5PM,opposed to 2.15PM.
