Is that in general terms, or purely from an EFC perspective? I'm guessing a general perspective, given our picks are so far down the order.

Tangental thought..... I really dunno much about it, but I've seen stuff about (what I think is) combining your picks to get a higher one. Could we do that? Or is not even a thing?

Just my sarcasm in relation to our sad lot and thinking about the excitement with Shiel etc last year (but that wasn't in the draft of course - we'd traded away our best picks by then). Yes deals could be done but if its anything to get excited about, we usually would have heard a whisper by now.

LOL. Fair enough.
I haven't taken much interest in the draft (due to - as you said - our sad lot) so wondered if I'd missed something.

The AFL is seriously pumping the tyres of the draft given they have gone to this 2 day fully televised love fest. What a f****** load of absolute bullshite.

Personally they are all just taking a mildly interesting circle jerk just a bit too far.

we should get excited as in the past, some of our best picks have come in the second round or lower....that's how we roll

It could also explain why we haven't won a final (or even been close) in more than 15 years.

It’s a bit depressing watching the draft live and seeing so many of exactly the type of players we need wandering off to other clubs. Our depth of young talent seems to be very light on. Let’s hope guys like Mozzie, Gown, BZT and Draper come good coz there ain’t much else to look forward to.

Define young,

Parish, Frang and Redman all 22. McGrath is only a couple of months older than Thatcher. Clarke, Ridley and Ham all shown some promise at the top line. Hell even Begley is still young.
Essendon Football Club- We arent arrogant, just deluded.
