Lachlan Johnson - pick 63.

Talk about everything Essendon. Past, Present and Future if it's about the Bombers this is the place to be.

Always liked Chris Johnson. Fair player with a cool head. One of the least crooked players in the Lions' rat pack. Welcome Lachlan. You'll enjoy it here much better. :D :D

I know nothing about this kid other than his heritage. At pick 63, is this an attempt by the club to legitimize its NGA?

He wouldn't be on the playing list then. Will that allow an elevation for someone else?

Would have to. Apparently it's understood.

What a steal! Despite injury, he’s a great pick up. Looking forward to him barnstorming the midfield in future vingertje

Was Brisbane ever considering him as a F/S selection? I am wondering whether we grabbed him this year to avoid a higher pick next year when he is fully recovered? As mentioned before, i know very little about him

They nominated him f/s for the rookie. They thought due to his injury nobody would take him in the main draft.

If he was fit & ready for a pre-season, where might he have been in the draft? Any guess?

About what we paid.

The attractiveness of this is the 2 for 1 factor. We get another SPP pick now he's inactive, get 12 months to look at another player whilst having rights to Lach.

Would have been snapped up by the Lions so it wouldn't have mattered. He's a hairy bugger, that's for sure and his highlights show a cool head and a lot of confidence. What about Nick Bryan though? Now Joey will have someone to chat to without stooping. The other picks only come up to his armpit!! Imagine Joey, Draper and Ryan all together on the field (which they wont be of course) :D :D

I`m thinking that Lachy might be the only player at the club that doesn`t really give a f*** that the season looks like it could be over

He's recovering from a knee injury - wouldn't have played this year anyway.

Hence the reason he wont miss playing at the mo as much as those that are fit and want to play.
