Round 3 Vs Carlton
In: Dyson
Out: Welsh.
No point making to many changes when you win.
I hope to god Sheeds does not bring in Campo. From some reports, e turned the ball over a lot on the weekend and is too slow, for the directio the team is heading anyway.

I have no problem with Dyson at all. But Welsh was playing as a defensive forward. And was playing a little as a defensive midfielder too.
Maybe Welsh's replacement should be in a similar mould?
Plus Dyson is another smaller player. We have alot of them playing at the moment.
Just a thought...

Bolton? Thats the only other player I can think of who could play that role.DC wrote:I have no problem with Dyson at all. But Welsh was playing as a defensive forward. And was playing a little as a defensive midfielder too.

It would be NLM if fit to replace Welsh.
I reckon we'll try and play extra tall up forward meaning Laycock, Lucas, Lloyd all down there to expose their lack of height in defence and to keep family man Lance in defence as well. I get the feeling that if he plays up forward he will pull something out of his arse.
Lance normally pulls something out of the bag against us.

I've also heard whispers that Whitnall is struggling with a knee injury similar to Fevola's and may not play.F111 wrote:There is an unsubstantiated report on Bomberblitz that Fevola is out.
Be that as it may, i think both of them will take a jab and play irrespective of their knee complaints. Carlton would see the game against us as winable and for that reason i think they'll play Fev and Whitnall anyway. They play West Coast at Subiaco in round 4 and if Fevola and Whitnall are still battling with their knees, i think they'll be rested from that game because a game in Perth against the Eagles is virtually unwinable for a team of Carlton's ability.
Looking forward to this game. Think we should be able to get a good win out of it.
Dyson in for Welsh would be my change, as he played well in the VFL I thought.
Rossoneri, in regards to the Campo comment, I can confirm that he turned it over a little too much on the weekend, and was caught a few times with the ball. In contrast Dyson was prepared to run with it, receive it back and was about the only one who had half decent delivery into the forward line.
If Fev is out as well as Whitnall then good luck Carlton, they don't have much else to look forward to.

If Fevola and Whitnall are out then I say "Beware the wounded blues"
Think back to 2001 when they had 3-4 of their top five players out, we were undefeated and raging favourites...and they beat us.
I'll not be counting this game as a win until the game is over and the boys are singing the song (he says hopefully)
