Laycock
I keep reading about Laycock and how he's unhappy and wants to be traded. Can someone fill me in? What's he unhappy about?

What i've heard is, and don't quote me on this, Laycock is Sheeds whipping boy, every time Sheeds needs a scape goat when things go wrong, Laycock is the boy he goes after. I found this out from a mate who works with his mother in-law.

Can't understand that. He has hardly played so why would Sheeds hang shit on him?Blidge wrote:What i've heard is, and don't quote me on this, Laycock is Sheeds whipping boy, every time Sheeds needs a scape goat when things go wrong, Laycock is the boy he goes after. I'm not quite sure to be honest, i'm just going off what my mate told me. Word is he'll be at Hawks next year if both clubs come to a good deal. I'd be looking at Hawks second pick.

Yeah but Hawks first pick is 4 i can't see them giving that up, even for a ready made ruckman/forward. Perhaps their second pick and a player, we'll see whaqt happens

But the thing is that he is not ready made. He has been injured for three years pretty much, and we only seen glimses of what he can do.Blidge wrote:Yeah but Hawks first pick is 4 i can't see them giving that up, even for a ready made ruckman/forward. If he is unhappy about not getting more money, he should think himself lucky as it is. He has played a handful of games in three years. What other type of worker can earn a good wage while not performin the work?
If the Hawks are willing to pay over the top for him then we should let him go.
He at best has been nothing but a big tease, especially since that Anzac Day game he starred in. Lots of injuries and lots of inconsistent games.
We'll pick up the young boy ruckman at number to (you know the one with the hard name to say), who is being touted as an extemeely good ruckman.

Luenberger i think his name is, that would be great if it worked out, but i think he may go earlier unless we get Hawks number 4 pick

They were talking last night on Fox footy that he is a "real" good prospect and could be as good as Cox. Will go top five. Could we consider him as our first pick at number 2?Blidge wrote:Luenberger i think his name is, that would be great if it worked out, but i think he may go earlier unless we get Hawks number 4 pick
I dunno....what do you reckon?
Our need for another young ruckman is not as great as our need for a CHB (unless he ready to play right now)bombercol wrote:They were talking last night on Fox footy that he is a "real" good prospect and could be as good as Cox.
