missing hirdy....
missing hirdy....
For me, just starting to sink in that the great one has only a couple of games left.
Its going to be a pretty couple of emotional weeks at bomberland, does anyone know of some of the things the club is doing to send him off?
seems to have been a little overshadowed with the sheedy controversy.

Do you know how much those match balls cost?
This bloke would need to have been pretty damn good to even consider giving him a match ball.
After all, what will we use for the next game if we give him the ball and he's not coming back?

What about an address book with the names and address of the all the duds he has recruited to Bomberland over the last 27 years. Then he can ask them to join him at Freo or Melb or wherever he is headed. Make Henno the captain, Zantuck the VC and Cupido the deputy VC. Allen would be an ideal ruckman, Murphy can do what he likes and play when he feels like. Naw Illic would be the No.1 ruckman, Wallis at FF and oh! oh! lets not forget Kep Braddles. He would sprint down the wing like a hare and put the ball straight down the throat of the full forward with deadly accuracy. The list goes on!!!
And some clowns out there would still be saying he should coach Essendon for another 100 years.

All I'm seeing ATM is:
1. Slag Lloyd. Poor captain....too heavy...... can't hold his feet and other such BS.
He kicks 5 goals with shocking delivery. Sets up 2 more. He is 7th on the goal kicking ladder WITH OUR DELIVERY! He is averaging over 3 goals a game. Brown, the best this year averages 0.3 goals more. His accuracy is almost 70%.
2. Slag Sheedy for everything else that's going wrong. We had by far the worst fixture in the comp. A team the won 3 games last year AND we are going to miss out on the finals by ONE GAME! This is so fa above most people on this sites expectations it is ridiculous.
JAMES HIRD is coming back for what in all likelihood will be one of his 3 last games. AND PEOPLE HONESTLT THINK THE ONLY WAY WE CAN WIN THIS GAME IS FOR CARLTON TO TANK?

Sure are. What more needs to be said?missing hirdy....
5 matches pre-injury: 4 wins, 1 loss.
Injury game: Loss
5 matches post-injury: 1 win, 4 losses.
Pretty hard to argue that it's not a different with Hirdy present/not present.
It's not all doom and gloom for next year. I suspect it might be a blessing in disguise. Someone else is going to have to stand up.
