anzac day team......
anzac day team......
thoughts?
IMO even tho we are flying high, we must ring some changes.
4 day break, if we don't bring in 3/4 we will be run off our feet.
is this the reason winders didn't play???? is he injured or just being rested to supply some pace on in 4 days?
i want to see dyson/JJ/campo get a look in.

Yeah, with all due respect to Campo the game's passed by him. He hasn't played since last year and is pretty much unheard of. I don't think he'll play.
But Licha will return, one fresh leg there. Welsh is out for two-weeks, he won't return. Nat-Rat may but I think the only change should be Licha for Johns.

Why? Collingwood played today in the wet and have sustained a few injuries to boot.tom9779 wrote:thoughts?

As for Campo, he doesn't deserve selection. Take your pick from Winderlich, Welsh, JJ, Dempsey, Houli, Hislop or Gumbleton before him.

Jetta and Johns out
Probably JJ and NLM (or Gumby) in. Would like to see Houli get a run though.
As for being run off our feet? That's ridiculous. Collingwood played today as well as we did, except they played at the MCG in muddy, swampy conditions which is pretty hard to keep running on. That rain was pumping.
We were straight in for a recovery session after the game so we'll be good to go come Wednesday.
Collingwood are going to be pressed to put together a fully fit team.

Hille will not play. They claim it is a chest injury, but we all know it isnt....has been reported by Doc Larkins to be a leg injury.
Licha will not come up and Jetta has done his groin.
Means that 3 places are up for grabs.
JJ Dempsey and Gumbleton to play in my opinion. Concern is that this guys play today and will have even shorter break.

Campo kept turning it over yesterday, but so did JJ.
Really impressed with Houli, want to see him play. Gubmleton looks great and could really stretch Collingwood's defence (unlike Johns).
I'd also like to see Lovett-Murray back if fit.
Dempsey injured himself yesterday, don't know exactly what, may have been an ankle and didn't come back in the second half, I doubt he will come in this week.

Hird and Fletcher set for Anzac Day
Tuesday, 24 April 2007
Essendon veterans James Hird and Dustin Fletcher are certain starters for tomorrow’s Anzac Day clash with Collingwood at the MCG. And the news gets even better with Leroy Jetta also a chance to play with his groin injury nowhere near as bad as first feared.
The Bombers’ fitness and medical teams have been working overtime to get the Essendon players back to full fitness following the weekend’s game against St Kilda.
The players have recovered well thanks to a thorough recovery plan that included time spent in the hyperbaric chamber, time on the beach and a player-specific dietary and supplement program.
Essendon will wait as long as possible to make a decision on ruckman David Hille who is suffering from a bruised chest and hamstring soreness.
Kepler Bradley and Mark Bolton didn’t play in the Bendigo Bombers team on Sunday and are on standby should they be required along with Nathan Lovett-Murray who has recovered from a groin injury.
----
I'd imagine Hille won't play.
