Saints sack Rattan

Post by s'dreams »

Rattan sacked - after a mid-season 2 year contract extension.

The - press reporting that Lyon is interested ans is Yse.

Sounds familiar

I don't know whether to feel that the Saints players should be pissed off that they were denied the chance to be traded now the coach has gone ... or to be ashamed they got paid so much to play so poorly that led to the sacking.

At least the media heat might get re-directed for a while. The floods have already helped there.

Essendon sack Rutten and it’s a hanging crime. The Saints burn Ratten after giving him two more
years and it’s decisive and ruthless. We must have pissed off a lot of media wanks!!!
Too far for Baker now he's on to it, now he’s got it, OPEN GOAL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The Dons are in front by one point at the 8 minute mark

The one question that will never be answered is whether Lyon was aware of the Saints gig when we were interviewing for our new coach. The fact that he would not even talk to us struck me as very odd given that he made it very obvious that he was keen to coach again. He obviously would like the idea of being the returning Messiah at St Kilda where several players past and present still idolise him. Certainly would be a far more simple gig than starting afresh at Tullamarine.

I believe the difference is that Essendon were anything but decisive when dumping Rutten - he was left hanging in the rumour/innuendo for a week.
Also, reports are that Ratten was given opportunity to defend his position.
I'm splitting hairs here, ultimately both were harshly done by.

The review reported that they didn't give Ratten all of the support he required so seems strange that they didn't put things in place to support him.

Surely Lyon cannot return with how he left St.Kilda last time.

The saints and Lyon is just like an abusive relationship.

No matter how much Lyon f***** up the Saints, they will welcome him back.

Seems Rosso has got them playing a slick brand of football with a layer of defensive pressure.

See how the young punks can learn quickly…

He’s got them flying a zing zang along. Full thrust on the open wing but hard press in the middle. We challenged them, but they cause turnovers and busted us on the rebound.

He’s a good coach with regard to tactics and structure,

Pan de SWOT!

Rossage has got the Saints marchin’ in!

Flying high on top of the ladder.

Far out… I can’t believe the rapid rise of this mob. No-one can argue that Ross the Boss can’t coach

Well, on one hand, you could say it’s only an if but not a big one.

He may give them a shot at it. Like he has before.

Plan, design, deliver, reap.

In his bastion he constructs much resistance.
