Heath Shaw Involved in Drink Driving Accident
Heath Shaw Involved in Drink Driving Accident
Apparently smashed into several parked cars last night. I know nothing else at this stage.

Pretty hard when he has caused damage and was over the limit though....billyduckworth wrote:Watch Collingfilth cover this one up a la Didak.

You should hear the spray Eddie McGuire has given him ....
Although, to be fair =D> to Eddie. Basically said it's about f*cking time players pulled their heads in.

Maybe the pressure of playing for such an arrogant club with a big mouthed arrogant president got to him; or maybe he's just a bl**dy idiot. Either or.

He's started the end of season festivities early, pretty good indication of how upbeat , or should that be beatup, the Filth are feeling at the moment.Lenni wrote:Maybe the pressure of playing for such an arrogant club with a big mouthed arrogant president got to him; or maybe he's just a bl**dy idiot. Wrong. The spray was just a smokescreen.Ossie wrote:You should hear the spray Eddie McGuire has given him ....

Eddie was trying to look angry to make up for the fact that Collingwood aren't actually taking any action. He knows that they will be criticised for not suspending him, and therefore he was trying to get on the front foot and look like a hard man. When in reality, not suspending him is the softest effort ever. First Didak, then Wellingham, now this. Collingwood have a serious problem with alcohol abuse and they aren't doing a thing to help stamp it out. Soft soft soft.
Compare that to us suspending Lovett for turning up late to a training session, despite the pressures on our list.
Collingwood had better smarten up soon enough or they'll have another Darren Millane on their hands.

Re: Heath Shaw Involved in Drink Driving Accident
I flashed over to Hinch this arvo' and he claims that Didak was with him !! Are we absolutely sure who was driving the car ? It wouldnt be the first someone has claimed they were the driver in order to cover for someone else who may get into worse trouble.
Menzie!!
Things go awry without Jye!!

You have to laugh at Eddie and Mick trying to justify not dropping him to the reserves.
What a pissweak stance to take.

Re: Heath Shaw Involved in Drink Driving Accident
Person whose car was hit adamant Didak was there, rather than just being in the area when Shaw called him as he alleges. Would you call Didak if you've just done that?MH_Bomber wrote:I flashed over to Hinch this arvo' and he claims that Didak was with him !! Are we absolutely sure who was driving the car ? If Didak was the driver, as Shaw was nearly 3 times over the limit, how pissed was Didak

Yep. They're as weak as piss. If it was some fringe player in the same situation they would've rubbed him out, but Shaw is one of their better players, and it's the pointy end of the season.dom_105 wrote:You have to laugh at Eddie and Mick trying to justify not dropping him to the reserves.

It's an interesting one, I can see both sides. I would wonder what would happen if another one of their players mucked up again before the end of the year...Staggy wrote:Wrong. The spray was just a smokescreen.Ossie wrote:You should hear the spray Eddie McGuire has given him ....

They have a shit culture down there, and all thanks to their refusal to install strong discipline on their playing group. No surprise f***'n Didak was there. Vermin.

It's pretty sad really, that some young blokes go out and have a fill, but aren't able to make the correct decision re: drinking and driving.
In a small way I feel sorry for young blokes unable to cope with the life of a footballer. Superficially, it looks great, a dream. But the adulation, the expectations, the media overwhelmingly present and ready to pounce...and a shed load of money and not quite the brains to prioritise the lot. It happens too often
On the other hand, watching Collingwood respond, and the media stalking and striking whenever it can, from every angle it can think of, will be great entertainment I think
