More McPhee:

Past COUPLE of years? He was our highest bronwnlow vote getter last year, with a fair ammount of injury. I have not seen him play a bad game in the whole time he's been at the bombers. He and Lovett for mine are they keys to our future success. Both have proven potential to be match winners.

Or how about we get this bloke: October 13 2006:

Thornton would be a better bet I'd say. If Carlton can't come to the table with him.

To be fair, McPhee was awesome in 2004, so much so that I thought we had found Hird's ready made replacement in the fact he could play forward, he could play back, he could run through the middle.

Not really sure what the f*** happened to him after 2004 though. Season or 2 off with OP and came back a shadow of his 2004 self.

We got the ordinary Mcgrath, the dud Harvey but man have we got the goods here.

On Lazycock: May 9 2007:

No preseason, still developing. When he learns to use his bulk he will be a very competitve ruckman.

Campo: May 17 2007:

Campo was handy for us last year. His disposal is very good, something that we have lacked.

Courtney Johns: May 14 2007:

He will have limited opportunuties while the Lloyd and Lucas show is around, but being five years their junior he will be primed for when they decline.

I think a few of us were a bit guilty of that one too Rob.

I have a laugh at some of my own previous 'predictions' on certain players. I used to crap on about Jay Neagle, Jay Nash, Lovett, Gumbleton, Prismall....

Jay Nash: May 22 2007:

Will be a beauty this bloke. Started off in the back line against some pretty handy players like Rucuitto & Chapman, but showed his true worth in last year's game against the Saints.

Of course, I do as well, but this bloke just loooooooooooooooooooooooooooooves anything in Red and Black. As soon as they can spell football, he has them labelled as future champions.

How are we travelling: June 2007:

We have played some of the best footy since 2000 in the last month. I can't believe how soft people think we are.

Selwood = Headland - Yay Gumby: July 2007

We made the correct choice for the future. Selwood look very good now when noone is available to tag him, I remember how good headland looked at Brisbane.......

Even then you are struggling: Auguts 2007:

We need to poach a talent scout. I think our drafting over the last couple of years has been OK. But Brisbane and Port has been much better. Let's get one of these guys.

Gumby = Carey: August 2007:

I am big kev excited. Yesterday really showed some ability, especially when we were flat. Worked his arse off all day. The brilliant split second thinking to get that goal really capped it off. We have something very special here. Dare I say, we might have found a new Carey?
