Re: Hurley
Whats he supposed to do? Get on the end of a pass from Reimers, Mofries, or some other list clogger?

Re: Hurley
Really thought he would dominate tonight... credit to Warnock though.. a few of his contests have led to Bomber goals though so he is sort of doing his job for the team. Get Crameri one out in the square I reckon....

Re: Hurley
i have concerns with Hurley, no doubt his intent and desire is unquestionable but we need him to take a few more contested marks, keeps getting mangled in a stationary wrestle.... delivery is woeful i know

It is all due to the crap delivery. He was working his ass off down there most of the night, but the delivery was just terrible.Jazz_84 wrote:i have concerns with Hurley, no doubt his intent and desire is unquestionable but we need him to take a few more contested marks, keeps getting mangled in a stationary wrestle.... delivery is woeful i know

You need to lighten up on the negative pills Windy....and don't take what you hear on the radio too seriously.Windy_Hill wrote:Done nothng in three games to be honest

As others have said, the delivery to him was abominable for most of the night and Warnock was doing the best Steven Silvagni impression I have seen for ages.

Windy Dill? Negative? You must be joking...
Re: Hurley
agree he is being man handled far too much for it to be legal, maybe we should be kicking just over his head and let him force the free kick seeing as he is always in front

Re: Hurley
Seen enough of him playing this year to say that he is not marking the ball as well as previous years, he is not positioning himself effectively in the contests as well. Delivery to Hurley was just as bad in the past so I dont think this is an excuse.
Nope, he is definitley only going at 65% in my opinion. Nothing to worry about long term as he is a great young player. A bit like the whole team, he seems to be searching for a spark to get himself going

Re: Hurley
Whilst I don't think Hurls had a good night, we were poor across the board...delivery to the forward line accounts for about half of how well they go and last night, that was crap...also, he always seemed to have 2 or 3 scraggers hanging onto him...

Re: Hurley
thought overall hurleys game was decent. certainly stamped himself on the game when required late in the game.
I guess in Hird we trust and he no longer wants to use him as a swingman between attack and defence.
Hurls is just so good at the contest, I would like to see him moved to where the ball is more often.
