Essendon V Adelaide - pre-game discussion
Essendon V Adelaide - pre-game discussion
All I ask is that the game isn't televised, so I don't have to watch it. Mind you, it'll be bad enough just hearing it on the radio.
Re: Essendon V Adelaide - pre-game discussion
Add all the massacres over the last decade and multiply it by 10.

Was it 94 or 96 points a couple of years back?
= 940 or 960. That's 156 goals +
Crikey !!!

That's about right. No Gumbleton or Stanton next week to add to the 15 others on the sidelines....nudder12 wrote:Was it 94 or 96 points a couple of years back?

Re: Essendon V Adelaide - pre-game discussion
If the AFL introduced a rule where Adelaide weren't allowed to kick forwards we would still lose
Re: Essendon V Adelaide - pre-game discussion
C'mon fellas - where's the optimism?
This could very well be our 'Bizzaro Season'
Get flogged at the Dome and win everything before us interstate!
BTW - what club holds the record for percentage decline over a 3 week period?
This title will be ours by next weekend.

My material isn't very good..Oh...and then there's the bladder problem.
Re: Essendon V Adelaide - pre-game discussion
Hopefully they will have a few out to even it up a bit. Namely Jacobs and Thompson.

Re: Essendon V Adelaide - pre-game discussion
I think the TRB should come up with an innovative idea - don't play any recognised ruckmen and let NLM and Colyer pinch hit in the ruck. That way we will have more mobility around the contests.

Bomba said today that Crameri could have played but their confidence in selecting players that are on the edge had been shaken and went the safe option to help make sure our better players are playing towards the end of the year

Re: Essendon V Adelaide - pre-game discussion
If nothing else, we need height on the forward line.
Carlisle could go forward and Pears cover him in the backline for a start. Also pray that we get at least one key forward back this week.
Colyer for Davey who seems to have hit a brick wall again is another change.

Too far for Baker now he's on to it, now he’s got it, OPEN GOAL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The Dons are in front by one point at the 8 minute mark

Lonergan and Colyer have to come in before someone like Merrett gets a crack.Jazz_84 wrote:who have we got to cover Stanton? how is Merrett going in the VFL? i havn't heard anything about him, could he come in to replace Stanton? apparantly has great work rate and can break the lines really well
